Authors encounter the inaccuracy of language with complex sentence constructions and thus at the same time demonstrate the impossibility of grasping truth sharply. In classical logic, too, one tried to illustrate even highly complex structures in binary systems, which led to enormously long arithmetic operations and unmanageable operations. By contrast, in the middle of the last century a theory developed which allows fuzzy quantities: the Fuzzy Logic. Today, it is used in artificial intelligence, speech recognition, automation and security technology. Blurred quantities integrated into arithmetic operations control our everyday equipment.
"Basically, man is both dichotomous and fuzzy-logical. Logically, however, only the fuzzy logic as the logic of inclusive differentiation can capture this as-well-as, not the Aristotelian logic of exclusive differentiation. Because the fuzzy logic knows the two sides of a distinction, but also the whole infinite middle in between. The dichotomous logic knows no in-between. It must be on one of the two sides. The fuzzy logic recognizes that there can be both: an either-or as well as a as-well-as." (Prof. Dr. Thomas Kron)

The half-hour meditation on Heisenberg's theses is a one-man show in which actor Fabian Ringel has to deliver a breathless tour de force under high pressure. He is supported by the challenging video installation by Jens Standke.
In this way, the evening's visitors take a seat on beanbags in which they let themselves fall and can direct their gaze to the ceiling covered with semi-transparent canvas, on which the physical explanations are illustrated with abstract sequences of images. Driven by pulsating minimalist electroscores, particles and electrons represented as white dots form and condense into ever new formations. Even if physicists are not necessarily able to speak out enlightened when Heisenberg's fuzziness or Schrödinger's cat is spoken of next time, a hunch remains that the so-called reality is perhaps not as concrete and factual as it seemed a moment ago. Is perception merely the human attempt to create patterns and make sense in order to distract oneself from the prospect of incoherent chaos? (Robert Cherkowski in Choices 11/17)
