™5.6]Smart Factory_ECONOMY is investigating the impact of Industry 4.0, which uses the most modern communication technology to connect smart products to self-organising production and services and enter the smart home. It shows the influence of digital assistants on our lives: Most modern communication technology processes information from the cloud - in the Smart Home the assistants know what we ate for breakfast, which outfit to buy for the next business appointment, how many steps we should still take today and when it is time for sports. Alexa, Siri and Co become the moral authority and determine our actions. "People become part of the value chain. The term 'smart' is misleading because intelligence is not in the smart device, but in the cloud. The consumer is cheered on as a beautiful lifestyle product with additional pseudo-healthy and sporty advantages." (Ariel Lasry) Digitalization, omnipresent communication of systems and self-organizing production connect people with machines, products and logistics itself. They communicate and cooperate directly with each other, sometimes quite obviously and sometimes in the background - and all for the good of mankind?
